A street-by-street heritage assessment of Canterbury to identify and protect valued heritage places of local significance has been completed. Council is now inviting the community to provide feedback on the assessment.
From 27 February to 27 March, we are seeking your feedback on the draft Canterbury Heritage Gap Assessment.
The draft Canterbury Heritage Gap Assessment identifies all properties and precincts in Canterbury with heritage value that are currently not included in the Heritage Overlay.
The assessment is part of Council’s Municipal Wide Heritage Gap Study (MWHGS), a two year project which began in 2016.
This is an opportunity for you to have your say prior to the formal statutory process of introducing the heritage controls.
